Just as U.S.-based corporations have become more global, so too have U.S. based investors’ equity allocations. While investors have increasingly allocated equity investments outside the U.S., their bond portfolios remain largely domestic. Over time, the bond market outside of the U.S. has expanded as developing economies have pursued more constructive fiscal and monetary policies.
