Fee Negotiation/Cost Control:
Managing the costs associated with institutional investment portfolios
is an important aspect of the consulting relationship. Marquette
believes that all costs associated with an investment program should
be measured, reported, and controlled. Although generally the majority
of the fees associated with an investment portfolio are investment
manager-related, other fees to consider include asset custody,
securities lending, commission recapture, proxy voting, as well as
investment consulting services. Marquette works with each client to
ensure proper reporting and disclosure of all fees associated with the
investment portfolio and, when appropriate, will assist the client in
negotiating the fee arrangements.
