Read the full article >Linsey Schoemehl Payne is a vice president for Marquette Associates and has 11 years of investment experience. She joined the firm in 2016 and serves as the primary consultant on several client relationships. Linsey is a member of the firm’s impact investing committee and discretionary committee.
Prior to joining Marquette, Linsey served as general counsel and chief compliance officer to the Illinois State Board of Investment and was responsible for negotiating and providing legal review for investment advisory and consulting contracts and overseeing the portfolio’s corporate governance and compliance programs.
Linsey holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law, and an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a member of the bar of the State of Illinois and is actively involved with Women Investment Professionals. She also serves as trustee for the investment board of the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart and is a board member of Leaders Investing For Tomorrow (LIFT). Linsey was the recipient of the 2012 Rising Star of Public Funds by Money Management Intelligence.
