Tom Latzke is a managing partner for Marquette Associates and has 23 years of investment experience. An owner of the firm, he joined Marquette in 2015 and serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships as well as on numerous firm committees.
Prior to joining Marquette, Tom was the deputy city treasurer for the City of Chicago where he served as a trustee on behalf of the city treasurer for the City’s pension plans. He began his career at a boutique fixed income asset manager, where he oversaw client bond portfolios.
Tom holds a B.S. in business administration from Eastern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a member of the CAIA Association®.
Marquette’s Director of Research, Greg is a fully credentialed actuary and has over 25 years of investment experience.
Greg Leonberger is the director of research and a managing partner for Marquette Associates. An owner of the firm, Greg has been with the company since 2008 and has 26 years of investment experience. He leads the firm’s capital markets research and directs investment strategies and policies. Greg chairs the firm’s investment committee and also serves on the OCIO and defined contribution committees and the nonprofit services group. He has authored numerous papers on portfolio strategy, asset allocation, and liability driven investing, and regularly consults with clients on these topics.
Prior to joining Marquette, Greg was an actuarial consultant at Hewitt Associates for nine years where he consulted on all aspects of pension and post-retirement welfare plans, including funding, accounting, strategy, design, and regulatory compliance.
Greg holds a B.S. in mathematics and economics from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. with honors in analytic finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Greg is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an enrolled actuary, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
Eric Gaylord is a principal for Marquette Associates and has 18 years of investment experience. He joined Marquette in 2007 and serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships. Eric is a member of the firm’s defined contribution services committee and nonprofit services group.
Eric holds a B.S. in finance from Indiana University, Bloomington. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
Sarah E.R. Wilson is a senior vice president with 32 years of investment experience and works from Marquette’s Pennsylvania office. Sarah joined the company in 2017 through the merger of Peirce Park Group, where she started working in 2010. She serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships, with a focus on municipal and public funds, union, and private clients. She has in-depth knowledge of municipal clients and has worked with numerous municipal pension funds throughout western Pennsylvania for over 20 years.
Prior to joining Peirce Park Group, Sarah was executive vice president & chief compliance officer and an investment committee member for a western Pennsylvania investment management firm, where she was in charge of compliance and oversaw all aspects of investment trading, asset allocation, and portfolio construction. During her tenure, she was the lead on several municipal clients. Previously, she served as first vice president for a Pittsburgh-based investment firm serving municipalities, public, and Taft-Hartley accounts for 10 years. She started her career at Merrill Lynch.
Sarah holds a B.S. in business from the London School of Business. She works with several local charitable organizations and served as Treasurer for Word of God School. She is currently the Chair of Finance for the Ligonier Historical Society and serves on the Edgewood Borough’s Police and Non-Uniform Pension Committee. Sarah has presented at various industry conferences including those hosted by the Allegheny League of Municipalities, Pennsylvania State Association of Country Controllers, and County Treasurers’ Association of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mike Spychalski is a vice president for Marquette Associates and has 22 years of investment experience. He joined Marquette in 2006 and serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships. He is a member of the firm’s traditional investment manager search committee.
Prior to joining Marquette, Mike was a portfolio administrator in the Private Client Services division of Bear Stearns.
Mike holds a B.S. in economics from DePaul University. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a member of the CAIA Association®.
Matt Nowak is the associate director of defined contribution for Marquette Associates and co-leads the defined contribution services team.
Matt Nowak is the associate director of defined contribution for Marquette Associates and has 10 years of investment experience. He joined the firm in 2021 and actively supports the DC practice working with a variety of client relationships. Matt is a co-leader of the defined contribution services team, collaborating with consultants and clients to provide guidance on fiduciary best practices, investment research including target date funds and retirement income, plan design, recordkeeper evaluation, and participant engagement, among other topics. He is a member of the firm’s defined contribution committee and traditional investment manager search committee.
Prior to joining Marquette, Matt was a regional internal consultant at Nationwide Financial, where he partnered with financial advisors to provide retirement plan solutions for plan sponsors and participants.
Matt holds a B.B.A. with a certificate in international business from Ohio University. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation. Additionally, he serves on the Investment Committee for the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) and is a member of the Institutional Consultant Advisory Council for the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA).
Jessica is Marquette’s OCIO committee chair and collaborates with consultants and the research team to determine portfolio strategy for the firm’s OCIO clients.
Jessica Noviskis is the OCIO portfolio strategist for Marquette Associates. She joined Marquette in 2020 and has 17 years of investment experience. Jessica works alongside consultants and collaborates with the research team to determine asset allocation, manager selection, and other portfolio strategy for the firm’s OCIO clients. She leads the regular review of client portfolios, asset class structure, and portfolio positioning and works with the OCIO operations team on onboarding, audits, and other portfolio maintenance. Jessica chairs the firm’s OCIO committee and is a member of the traditional and alternative investment manager search committees and investment committee.
Previously, Jessica was the director of alternatives and a senior research analyst at Marquette. Prior to joining Marquette, Jessica spent 12 years in investment management, as a senior analyst at 1060 Capital Management, a vice president at Brookfield Investment Management, and an equity analyst at Artisan Partners.
Jessica holds a B.B.A. in finance, investment and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S.M. in finance analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
