On Tuesday, October 6th, Evan Frazier, CFA, CAIA will be speaking at Markets Group’s 3rd Annual Michigan Institutional Forum in East Lansing, Michigan.
Evan will participate in a panel entitled, “Growth vs. Value: Why It’s Time to Think Outside the Style Box,” with several investment professionals. The panel will discuss asset allocation decision-making with a focus on growth and value stocks: Value stocks have massively underperformed growth equities over the past decade. While the trend may be poised to reverse, long droughts and sharp reversals in individual styles raise the question: Might equity portfolios be more robust if they were not entirely beholden to swings in growth and value returns? Join us for a discussion where we will explore how asset owners can think more broadly, creatively, and strategically about asset allocation policy in order to reduce funded status volatility and perhaps find another path to the returns required to improve plan funding levels.
The Michigan Institutional forum will bring together regional institutional investors and consultants across Michigan with topics including asset allocation, alternative investing, and the outlook for financial markets and the global economy. For more information, please visit the event webpage.
