Kweku Obed Speaking at NASP Diverse Manager Forum 1/19

On Thursday, January 19, Kweku Obed, CFA, CAIA will be speaking at the National Association of Securities Professionals’ (NASP) Diverse Manager Forum in Philadelphia.

Kweku will be joining a panel entitled, “AMAC: Advocating for Diverse Firms at the Federal Level,” with several investment professionals. The panel will address the following: Between 2019 and 2021, the SEC stood up the Asset Management Advisory Committee to develop recommendations on DEI efforts within financial services. The committee developed five key recommendations to support SEC diversity efforts. Two of the five total recommendations have been implemented as of December 2022. In this session, we will discuss the remaining recommendations and actions that can be taken to move implementation forward.

NASP’s Diverse Manager Forum serves as a kickoff to the 2023 Annual Financial Services Conference, as well as a showcase to discuss timely issues affecting diverse managers and diversity within financial services.
