April 16, 2020

On Monday, August 24, Marquette will be speaking at The Pension Bridge Annual, hosted virtually. 2020 is the conference’s 15th year and this year’s conference will focus on capital preservation and gaining an understanding of the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the investment landscape.

Joining the panel “Artificial Intelligence in Asset Management and Benefiting from Disruptive Innovation Investment,” Ben Mohr will discuss several topics with fellow panelists including:

  • Why should AI be on a plan sponsor’s radar?
  • How are AI techniques, models, and algorithms being deployed and incorporated into the decision-making process?
  • How will AI and machine learning transform the financial services industry? What are the long-term implications for investment professionals?
  • How can investors evaluate a manager who claims to use A.I.? What are the risks you need to know?
  • How will blockchain transform the capital markets? Which industries can benefit from blockchain?
  • What are the obstacles to success in disruptive technologies such as blockchain, frictionless value transfer, autonomous vehicles, and the Internet of Things?

Ben previously presented research on the use of machine learning in asset management at Marquette’s 2019 Investment Symposium. View the video here.
