East Coast Headquarters Sponsoring Breakfast Series

Marquette’s East Coast headquarters in Baltimore continues our breakfast speaker series on December 2 with the theme of “The Innovative Intersection of Capitalism and Social Good – Panel Discussion on a Better Form of Capitalism.” Glenn Ross, Managing Partner of Marquette Associates, will introduce the panel.

Panel members are:

• Alex Fisher, Managing Partner of Marquette Associates;
• Michael Cryor, Director of OneBaltimore and President of The Cryor Group;
• Chris College, portfolio manager of TCP Venture Capital’s Propel Baltimore Fund;
• Jeff Cherry, Executive Director of the Conscious Venture Lab; and
• Jeff Carroll, head of the DIRECTS program at Humanim.

The breakfast series is designed to provide brief, high impact presentations on topics of interest to investors: the economy, portfolio strategies, interesting investment themes, new developments in technology & health sciences and venture investing. Past speakers have included:

• Brian Rogers, Chairman of T Rowe Price, and John Linehan, head of their US Equity Division, speaking on the investment outlook;
• Hugh Evans, Vice President, Corporate Development and Ventures, 3D Systems, about recent developments in 3D printing;
• Hewson Baltzell, Executive Director, Head of Product Development, ESG Research for MSCI, speaking about climate change’s influence on investing, specifically the presence of carbon risks in portfolios;
• Ambassador Daniel V. Speckhard (Ret.), President and CEO, Lutheran World Relief and Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution, Former Ambassador to Greece and Belarus, Former Director of the Iraq Reconstruction Management Office and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, speaking about Greece’s prospective exit from the Eurozone and other global challenges.
