James R. Wesner is a partner at Marquette Associates. An owner of the firm, Jamie has been with the company since 2007 and has 26 years of investment experience. He is a member of the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, OCIO committee, and nonprofit services group. Jamie serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships.
Prior to joining Marquette, Jamie worked in the debt capital markets division at Banc of America Securities. Prior to Banc of America, he held positions with Nuveen Investments and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jamie holds a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. with distinction in finance and international business from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Jamie is a CFA® charterholder, a member of the CFA Society of Chicago, and a board member for One Acre Fund.
Patrick Wing is a partner at Marquette and works from our Philadelphia office. An owner of the firm, Pat joined the company in 2017 through the merger of Peirce Park Group, where he started working in 2013. He has 22 years of investment experience and serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships. Pat is a member of the firm’s OCIO committee and operations committee. He also provides quantitative, analytical, and research support to the consulting staff.
Prior to joining Peirce Park Group, he spent nine years at Cambridge Associates in the firm’s Arlington, Virginia office. While there, he was a member of the firm’s Investment Strategy Research Group. His role included developing investment ideas and research topics for firmwide asset allocation decisions and client advice.
Patrick holds a B.A. in economics from the College of the Holy Cross. He is a CFA® charterholder and has also earned the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement.
Miguel leads the firm’s Taft-Hartley practice area and serves on the firm’s executive committee.
Miguel Zarate is a partner at Marquette Associates and serves on the firm’s executive committee. An owner of the firm, Miguel has been with the company since 2011 and has 25 years of investment experience. Miguel leads the firm’s Taft-Hartley practice area and serves as the primary investment consultant on several of the firm’s relationships.
Prior to joining Marquette, Miguel was a senior vice president and senior consultant at Marco Consulting Group, as well as a member of their management and research committees. Previously, Miguel worked for a management consulting firm.
Miguel holds a B.A. in economics and business from Cornell College and an M.B.A. in finance from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business.
Ryan P. Tracy is a senior vice president for Marquette Associates and has 14 years of investment experience. He joined the firm in 2022 with a primary focus on serving high net worth, family office, and nonprofit clients across the country. Ryan serves as co-chair of the private client consulting committee and is a member of the alternative investment manager search committee.
Prior to joining Marquette, Ryan was a senior consultant at a nationally-recognized investment consulting firm. He began his career as a co-founder and managing partner of a Chicago-based advisory firm.
Ryan holds a B.S. in business with degrees in finance and accounting from the Lumpkin School of Business at Eastern Illinois University and earned the financial planning certificate from DePaul University. He is a CFP® practitioner. Ryan serves as a committee member and volunteer at Economic Literacy Colorado and as a committee member for the Denver Children’s Foundation.
Sarah E.R. Wilson is a senior vice president for Marquette Associates with 33 years of investment experience and works from our Pennsylvania office. Sarah joined the company in 2017 through the merger of Peirce Park Group, where she started working in 2010. She serves as the primary investment consultant on several client relationships, with a focus on municipal and public funds, union, and high net worth clients. She has in-depth knowledge of municipal clients and has worked with numerous municipal pension funds throughout western Pennsylvania for over 20 years.
Prior to joining Peirce Park Group, Sarah was executive vice president & chief compliance officer compliance officer and an investment committee member for a western Pennsylvania investment management firm, where she was in charge of compliance, oversaw all aspects of investment trading, asset allocation and portfolio construction. During her tenure she was the lead on several municipal clients. Previously, she served as first vice president for a Pittsburgh based investment firm serving municipalities, public, and Taft Hartley accounts for 10 years. She started her career at Merrill Lynch.
Sarah holds a B.S. in business from the London School of Business. She works with several local charitable organizations and served as Treasurer for Word of God School. She is currently the Chair of Finance for the Ligonier Historical Society and serves on the Edgewood Borough’s Police and Non-Uniform Pension Committee. Sarah has presented at various industry conferences including those hosted by the Allegheny League of Municipalities, Pennsylvania State Association of Country Controllers, and County Treasurers’ Association of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Kevin Anderson is a vice president for Marquette Associates and has 11 years of investment experience. He joined Marquette in 2015 and serves as the investment consultant on several client relationships. Kevin is a member of the firm’s alternative investment manager search committee and nonprofit services group. Prior to becoming a consultant, Kevin was a senior client analyst at Marquette.
Kevin graduated magna cum laude from St. Norbert College with a B.A. in economics and political science. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
Sam Frymier is a vice president for Marquette Associates and works from our Philadelphia office. He has 10 years of investment experience and joined the firm in 2019. Sam serves as the investment consultant on several client relationships. Prior to becoming a consultant, he was a senior client analyst at Marquette.
Prior to joining Marquette, Sam was the co-founder and portfolio manager of Quesne Capital, LLC.
Sam holds a B.S. in finance from Duquesne University.
Brad Hampton is a vice president for Marquette Associates with 13 years of experience and works from our Baltimore and Philadelphia offices. He joined the firm in 2022 and serves as the investment consultant on several client relationships. Brad is a member of the nonprofit services group.
Prior to joining Marquette, Brad was an area vice president at Gallagher Fiduciary Advisors and served as the lead investment consultant on a variety of institutional relationships. Brad also served as the head of international and global manager research, along with serving on the asset allocation & modeling team. Previously, Brad was a client & investment analyst, focusing on fixed income manager research. Brad also spent time as a treasury & risk analyst at Bayer Corporation.
Brad holds a B.S. in finance from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
Matt Nowak is the associate director of defined contribution for Marquette Associates and co-leads the defined contribution services team.
Matt Nowak is the associate director of defined contribution for Marquette Associates and has 11 years of investment experience. He joined the firm in 2021 and actively supports the DC practice working with a variety of client relationships. Matt is a co-leader of the defined contribution services team, collaborating with consultants and clients to provide guidance on fiduciary best practices, investment research including target date funds and retirement income, plan design, recordkeeper evaluation, and participant engagement, among other topics. He is a member of the firm’s defined contribution committee and traditional investment manager search committee.
Prior to joining Marquette, Matt was a regional internal consultant at Nationwide Financial, where he partnered with financial advisors to provide retirement plan solutions for plan sponsors and participants.
Matt holds a B.B.A. with a certificate in international business from Ohio University. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation. Additionally, he serves on the Investment Committee for the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) and is a member of the Institutional Consultant Advisory Council for the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA).
Jack Sannes is a vice president for Marquette Associates and has eight years of investment experience. He joined Marquette in 2018 and serves as the investment consultant on several client relationships. Jack is a member of the nonprofit services group. Prior to becoming a consultant, Jack was a senior client analyst at Marquette.
Jack holds a B.B.A. in finance and minor in psychology from the University of Iowa. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a member of the CAIA Association®.
