On Monday, September 19th, Ibrahim Rashid will be speaking in New York City at the Clinton Global Initiative, a gathering of global and emerging leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly to take action and address the world’s most pressing challenges.
Ibrahim will be presenting as part of the inaugural cohort of the Green House Initiative, a group of 19 social entrepreneurs that will introduce innovative technologies and business models that can make a positive contribution toward building an inclusive economy, creating health equity, and/or fighting climate change. Ibrahim will be interviewed by Chelsea Clinton for his work on Strong Haulers, a digital health tool that makes symptoms predictable for people with chronic conditions. Strong Haulers was inspired by Ibrahim’s health challenges with Long COVID and came from a desire to manage his own problems with unpredictable symptoms, ideated during his time as a graduate student at the University of Chicago through the Social New Venture Challenge Accelerator and as a Clinton Global Initiative University fellow.
The Clinton Global Initiative September 2022 meeting will bring together President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and a community of doers from a broad section of society — from business to philanthropy, government to grassroots activists, Heads of State to household names — and include high-level plenaries, interactive featured sessions, in-depth small group discussions, sponsor-hosted events, and networking and showcasing opportunities.
