Kweku Obed Speaking at GAPPT Annual Conference 3/21

On Tuesday, March 21, Kweku Obed will be speaking at the Fourteenth Annual Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees (GAPPT) Conference.

Kweku will be participating in a panel entitled, “Plans Respond to Public Market Volatility,” with several investment professionals. The session will address the following topics:

• The current market environment and the sources of market volatility being experienced by institutional investors
• Trends that often need to be addressed during periods of market volatility (e.g., manager underperformance, meeting liquidity needs, plan funding levels/contribution payments, etc.)
• Various ways in which institutional investors are reacting and addressing the current environment of market volatility as it relates to particular asset classes such as: (1) Public equity; (2) Private equity; (3) Fixed Income; (4) Real estate and real assets; and (5) Cash

The GAPPT is a nonprofit organization formed to provide education and professional development opportunities to trustees and administrators of Georgia’s public pension plans. Subject areas span fiduciary responsibility and liability, board governance, investment acumen, and plan administration.
