CHICAGO, IL, January 16, 2024 — Marquette Associates, Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of two new Managing Partners as of January 1, 2024: Thomas Latzke, CAIA, and Melissa Gyurcsik. Marquette has 25 shareholders.
Tom and Melissa have both made a meaningful impact on the firm and promoting them to Managing Partner is in recognition of what they have done for Marquette and our clients. We got to know Tom as a client, working in the Treasurer’s office for the City of Chicago years ago. Since joining Marquette, he has been a key part of the growth of our St. Louis office alongside Brian Goding. Melissa has transformed Marquette’s client outreach and marketing efforts, developed and led a growing team at the firm, and embodies the Marquette culture by always being willing to take on new projects and responsibilities.
As the investment consulting industry faces increasing consolidation and complexity, Marquette remains steadfast in our commitment to independent ownership. Tom Latzke, CAIA, joined Marquette in 2015 and has over 21 years of investment experience. He serves as the primary investment consultant on a variety of clients as well as on numerous firm committees. Prior to joining Marquette, Tom was the deputy city treasurer for the City of Chicago where he served as a trustee on behalf of the city treasurer for the City’s pension plans. He began his career at a boutique fixed income asset manager, where he oversaw client bond portfolios.
Melissa Gyurcsik is Marquette’s Director of Marketing and began her career with the company in 2014. She leads Marquette’s marketing department and manages the firm’s marketing functions, including new business efforts, internal and external communication, and brand management. Melissa also assists the Chief Compliance Officer in oversight of the compliance program and is a member of the firm’s compliance committee and operations committee.
