Marquette Speaking at Institutional Investor ESG & Sustainable Returns Forum 11/3

On Wednesday, November 3rd, Marquette will be speaking at Institutional Investor’s ESG and Sustainable Returns Forum 2021, “ESG and the Convergence of Megatrends,” in New York City.

Ben Mohr will be chairing a session entitled, “Sustainable Portfolio Construction,” which will include several presentations by industry experts:

• Impact Investing—Opportunity in a World of Complexity: How impact investing may help investors construct their portfolios to be on the right side of environmental, societal, and technological change. Special attention will be paid to measuring impact in a world of imperfect data, particularly as companies accelerate or delay their focus on sustainability as a result of COVID‐19.
• How ESG Is Impacting Portfolio Construction and Investment Outcomes: The ESG investing landscape is evolving faster than ever as more and more investors look for ways to integrate sustainability into their portfolios while ensuring they continue to deliver on their return expectations. This deep-dive analysis of more than 200 institutional portfolios provides insight into how ESG is impacting portfolio construction and investment outcomes.
• Sustainable Portfolio Trends and Research: How investors’ efforts to find alpha by expanding the set of inputs we use to identify outperformance to include sustainability‐oriented data sources. As capital shifts towards sustainability over the coming decade, active investors have an important role to play identifying specific opportunities and risks.

Participants will then discuss the presentations, sharing knowledge and opinions, other factors to consider, and how investors are changing allocations and reconstructing their portfolios in response to sustainable investing trends, and Ben will lead a Q&A with the panel and audience.
