On Thursday, January 18, Lee H. Martin, Ph. D. and Greg Leonberger, FSA, EA, MAAA, FCA will be speaking at KORIED’s 2024 Plan Sponsor Educational Institute, held January 16–19 in Key West, Florida.

Lee is co-chairing the event on Thursday, moderating a panel entitled, “Opportunities in Infrastructure and Real Assets Across the Energy Transition” with several investment professionals.

Greg will be moderating the opening Consultant Roundtable for the day, themed “Recent and future expected asset flow trends within institutional markets,” and featuring several investment consultant representatives.

Patrick Wing and Sam Frymier Speaking at PSACC Fall Conference 11/17

On Friday, November 17th, Patrick W. Wing, CFA, CIPM, and Sam Frymier will be speaking at the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers’ (PSACC) 2023 Fall Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Pat and Sam will be presenting a review of the trends in county pension plans and funds, including actuarial assumptions & methods, investment performance, and funded ratios, followed by a discussion of portfolio objectives amid higher interest rates. Patrick W. Wing Speaking at PAPERS’ Fall Conference 11/8

On Wednesday, November 8, Patrick W. Wing, CFA, CIPM will be speaking at the Pennsylvania Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems’ (PAPERS) Annual Fall Workshop in Harrisburg, PA.

Pat will be participating in a Q&A discussion on fixed income at the workshop, looking back at market moves so far this year and toward what the future holds. The Fall Workshop provides an opportunity for networking and education to those individuals who work in or provide services to Pennsylvania’s public pension funds.

Greg Leonberger and Nic Solecki Speaking at IFEBP 2023 Conference 10/2

Greg Leonberger, FSA, EA, MAAA, FCA, and Nic Solecki will be speaking at the 69th Annual International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans Conference in Boston.

Greg and Nic will be co-presenting an educational session on cryptocurrency and digital assets at the conference entitled, “Cryptocurrency in its Current State.” The session will cover recent performance and topics in cryptocurrency, fallout from FTX, developments in federal legislation and regulation, and evaluating crypto exposure in current and proposed investment options.

Marquette Speaking at RCRI 2023 Annual Conference 9/28

On Thursday, September 28, Aimee O’Connor, CFP® and Ibrahim Rashid will be speaking at the 2023 Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) Annual Conference, “Communications in a Synodal Church: Opportunities and Challenges,” in St. Louis, Missouri.

Aimee and Ibrahim will be joining a panel alongside several industry and investment professionals, titled, “Climate Change, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Risks and Opportunities in Investments.” The group will address uncertainties, risks, and opportunities around climate change and diversity, equity, and inclusion as interest and effects continue to shift, as well as how investments can be implemented to address these issues and to create positive impacts.
