Lee H. Martin, Ph.D., Speaking at 63rd Annual Employee Benefits Conference 10/23-10/24

On Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24, Lee H. Martin, Ph.D., will be speaking at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) 63rd Annual Employee Benefits Conference in Las Vegas.

A co-presenter of the session “Alternatives Now and in the Future”, Lee will focus on the role of alternatives as significant changes to our health care and retirement systems are underway. Topics of note include:

  • Identifying the range of alternatives (hedge funds, private equity, fund of funds, natural resources and limited partnerships)
  • The role of alternatives in a portfolio
  • Taking a core-satellite approach to alternatives
  • The role of alternatives in a low-interest environment?
  • Historical performance
  • Expected returns going forward

Attendees of the Annual Conference will learn how the new presidential administration may impact their benefit plans, discover tactics to enhance their pension strategies, learn about potential changes to the Affordable Care Act, identify risks that may impact their plans and plan participants, and engage with industry experts.
