Chad Sheaffer is an associate director of private credit for Marquette Associates with 15 years of investment experience and works from our Philadelphia office. He joined the firm in 2022 and provides thought leadership on private credit and capital markets research. Chad is responsible for leading the due diligence of private credit products and managers, providing guidance on product selection, and developing actionable views based on a macroeconomic and capital markets outlook. Chad is the chair of the alternative investment manager search committee and is a member of the firm’s investment committee and defined contribution committee.

Prior to joining Marquette, Chad was an investment officer at Haverford College, where he primarily conducted multi-asset manager research for the endowment portfolio. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at Hirtle, Callaghan & Co., an outsourced CIO.

Chad holds a B.S. in business administration, summa cum laude, with concentrations in finance and international business from Drexel University. He is a CFA^® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Chad is also a CAIA charterholder and a member of the CAIA Association^®.
